Ixim supports eight different schools in the Diocese of Huehuetenango. One of the greatest joys of many missionaries is spending time in a classroom, playing in a schoolyard, or applying fluoride treatment to the teeth of children in one of our sister schools.
Our support for the next generation of leaders and difference-makers in Huehuetenango has been ongoing so that children who once studied in the schools we visited are able to meet returned missionaries and update them about their lives as teachers or medical workers in communties in the Diocese.
Several schools in Omaha support Ixim's sister schools through annual events and giving days.
