Due to a sharp increase in need throughout our area, Catholic Charities held a community food drive this past weekend to help meet the needs of those who visit their two food pantries. Ixim: Spirit of Solidarity was present on Monday, September 28 at Juan Diego Center in South Omaha to help stock over 5,000 lbs. of food received through the generosity of donors across the Archdiocese of Omaha.
Ixim's mission focus is inspired by our connections to Guatemala but calls us to serve both in Omaha and in Huehuetenango. Look for more upcoming events in the Omaha community. Serve with a spirit of solidarity.
